This modern European restaurant nestles in the heritage Railway Station building, with rustic charm aplenty in the form of well-worn brick archways, a wall of greenery and intimate table settings, ideal for a family catch-up or romantic rendezvous. Perhaps indulge in a Sunday high tea breakfast including a glass of Prosecco, or dine later in the day starting a memorable meal with steak tartare, avocado, white radish, nori, fried rice and wasabi sorbet; moving onto mains such as braised lamb, cauliflower, pomegranate, macadamia, quinoa and watercress. Make sure to leave room for peanut butter parfait, chocolate mousse, salted caramel and peanut brittle ice cream.

Improved exponentially since business has been sold.
Came here once before it was sold, ordered a 3 course meal with matching wines. Owner came up and introduced himself, was quite rude and didn’t let us talk to him before flitting off. Staff were also rude with the staff member cashing out till trying to argue with us for 20 minutes over the way we had ordered. (which had been fine with the staff member who took the order).
Food was good but nothing exceptional.
I saw in the paper it had been sold in July 2023, decided to give it a go as I had been hearing good things. Staff members warm and friendly including the owner who was willing to take the time to interact with us and explain the menu and answer any questions we had. Food was great and overall it was a great dining experience. 10/10 would definitely come again.
Inadequate Service
Had its six-course degustation menu, and the first course, salmon tartare, was definitely not a good start. The flavored frozen seaweed should not be used here. Although there are many elements in this dish, the seaweed dominated them all, what a waste. The rest courses were found tasty.
In regard to services, I found three issues:
1. Special dietary request sent to the restaurant while booking my dining session was not recognized.
2. Our table was not cleaned during the entire session even there are observable food residue.
3. Masks were worn by service staff, but all their noses were not covered.
Just the best.
I have eaten at many restaurants including those awarded multiple chefs hats in The Age good food guide. This restaurant though, wins my award.
The food is inspired with mpeccable presentation and exquisite flavors. The staff provide a dining experience second to none and the restaurant itself has a beautiful ambience. It’s my choice for every special occasion.
During the Covid19 lockdown my wife and I decided not to forgo our regular birthday dinner at Miss Amelie and got take-away. Although we missed the dining experience Miss Amelie delivers, we missed none of the lovely flavors and our 3 courses plated up beautifully at home. I look forward to our next dine in experience. Well done to David and the team.
The Best dining experience I have ever had
My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary last Friday night at Miss Amelie's.
We received a very warm welcome, Delicious Food and incredible service.
