About Kermandie Waterfront Hotel

Soak up spectacular riverfront views of Port Huon while dining in style at Kermandie Waterfront Hotel on Main Road. Built in 1932 as a watering hole to welcome weary travellers to the lower Huon and Esperance district, the Kermandie has recently undergone refurbishment to provide a fine dining and four star accommodation venue for locals and visitors alike. A picturesque backdrop of a bustling port side is complemented by a stylish interior, where a roaring fireplace beckons on chilly days, as diners relax and peruse a Mod Oz menu brimming with fresh, local produce. Settle in with a starter of sticky baked lamb ribs with dark ale glaze and pickled onions; before a main affair such as Tasmanian grass fed Porterhouse steak, dry aged in house and served with beer battered chips and salad.

Our Sass restaurant experience was delicious. Quality local regional eye fillet superb. Regional salmon wth curry and rice very satisfying. We were so impressed we dined there 2 nights in a row. Highly recommended. Excellent service by David. Rgds Suzy and her chef (Mr Perfect Daryl) from Melbourne

An awesome restaurant in rural Tassie that offers exceptional quality food and great service. Make sure you try the local produce that is so fresh and delicious.

Visited on a quiet week day and had a superb lunch to celebrate Don-Don's birthday. Beautiful location and terrific service.

What a find! We were handing to the Tahune air walk in southern Tasmania when we came across this old pub. As you walk in what you find inside is truly fantastic, the Sass restaurant is a modern fresh environment with an outlook of the marina and the river. The food is fresh and local; I had the Huon Atlantic salmon 3 ways for entree and the local mushroom risotto from main. My advice if you are in the Huon Valley do yourself a favor and stop in at the Kermandie’s, Sass restaurant.

Had a dinner with family. Kids burger was made out of sausage meat, and had no vegetable in sight. Greasy chips. Reasonably priced, but would have paid more for a healthy twist.

We had a lovely meal in a warm welcoming environment. Very enjoyable, will be going back again.

Good staff service and a great part of the world!....The food prior to cooking is world class and locally produced.
