Authentic Indo-lankan food
For the true foodie and lover of Southeast-Asian cuisine, Seven Hill’s Indo Lankan food bar offers both – a highly popular take-away bar and a dine-in restaurant – bordering on the fine dining. Located opposite the train station with plenty of car parking around the corner, the Indo Lankan serves, for example, no less than eight Biryanis, chicken, beef, goat, lamb, etc.
Our initial disappointment – no hoppers for lunch – was more than made up not just by the delights of a traditional chicken Biryani, but also the exquisitely cooked vegetable Kothu – recommended by the friendly and attentive waitress which we shared and must say is a bit on the spicy side. The Indo Lankan food bar is a place for true authentic Indian and Sri Lankan food. This is a “where the locals eat” kind of place – a good place to return to.
