Best Known For
5-course Epicurean Lunch (Nips&Nosh) including game meats, seafood, cheeses & decadent dessert.
Established in 1990, Heritage Estate Wines on Granite Belt Drive in Stanthorpe is a destination-worthy venue for tasting cool climate wines, delving into a five-course degustation menu and staying over. Nestled on a 10-acre vineyard with a 1946 apple store converted into a cellar door, this restaurant offers elegant dining options from the signature Five Senses degustation, to Nips and Nosh, alongside wine flights and estate drops. Delve into dishes like blue swimmer crab, tossed in squid ink spaghetti, with butter, herb, white wine sauce and tomato concasse; before seared kangaroo loin, tuna, anchovy and caper sauce, baby arugula, fried capers, pickled red onion and Parmesan. Finish indulgently with decadent dark chocolate ganache tart, orange curd and fresh strawberries.
A few words from Heritage Estate Winery Restaurant
We have created a special atmosphere with experiences beyond cellar doors. It would be great if we could be mentioned in your articles, instead of wineries that are closed. In the following article, 2 out of 6 are closed!! That's one third, and really just too misleading for the public who then try to visit. How bad is that for the region?
Our experiences are many fold, from classes in cheese & bread making, painting, glass painting and resin art to the gourmet food / wine experiences that are beyond just a meal. We have our sommelier talk to every diner, and our international chef explain the local produce and dishes, then finally the viticulturist takes our diners to the vineyard to complete the agritourism experience. We use special Nez du Vin kits in our talks. We sponsor the arts and hold concerts here that vary from musicians renowned for creating jazz music out of carrots, or have backed up famous artists like the Bee Gees, to workshops in Ukulele playing with free concerts and jam sessions.
