About Haveli Indian Restaurant
Way back in 1981, Haveli Indian Restaurant became the first Indian restaurant in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. Three decades later it’s still charming the diners of Doncaster East with its relaxed atmosphere, eager to please staff and authentic Indian menu. Like Haveli itself, restaurant manager Vijay has been in the business for years; the chefs boast extensive experience working in India’s top hotels, and it shows. For starters, you might enjoy firm chunks of tandoori salmon delicately spiced and cooked in the tandoor, and for mains, perhaps the Asian Food Festival competition winning Lamb Masala, a rich blend of sautéed capsicum, onion, tomato and herbs filled with succulent pieces of lamb.

Fantastic food. Fantastic hospitality. Vijay and Rosie are great hosts. Best Indian food in Melbourne. Try their tandoori lamb cutlets. To die for! Also butter chicken and tandoori mushrooms
Always a excellent night out. Great food, excellent hosts and enjoyable atmosphere
Love, love, love this Indian restaurant. Beautiful food in a warm and welcoming environment with great service. We always tell our family and friends to go to Haveli if they want a good Indian. Also great for those who can't eat gluten. I can't and, apart from the bread, there are only a few items on the whole menu that I can't eat. In our opinion, this is the go to restaurant in Melbourne for great Indian food.
