When in the Yarra Valley and looking to refuel and recharge head to Harper and Ivy Café on Bell Street in Yarra Glen. Housed in a heritage-style building with recycled timber floors, exposed brick, banquette and cosy table settings along with a vibrant turquoise colour palette, linger over a brew with family and friends to peruse a concise all-day menu. Early risers start the day with avocado on sourdough with roast pumpkin, goats’ cheese, salsa, roasted seeds and a poached egg, or tofu scrambled, with brown rice, kale, mushrooms, avocado and confit tomato. Join the lunch crowd for a green goddess bowl of quinoa, zucchini, cucumber, beans, peas, kale, pepita seeds and herbs; burger lovers chow down on Wagyu beef with Swiss cheese, bacon, smoky BBQ sauce, pickles, lettuce, mayo and tomato.
