Tucked into bustling Atchison Street in Wollongong, Halfday Deli hums with warmth and charm. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the earthy scent of baked bread. Sunlight pours through the windows, dancing across rustic timber tables where locals linger over long conversations and quick catch-ups. The space feels vibrant yet unhurried - a balance between energy and ease; stop in during the day for chicken cotoletta with lemon cream, rocket, Parmesan, roast capsicum and confit onion. Perhaps join the evening crowd for polpette with tomato sugo, Parmesan and fried basil to start, then pick up a slice of pizza topped with hot salami, fior di latte, chilli oil and Parmesan. For a divine dessert, delve into tiramisu and hazelnut.

From the crew behind Opus Coffee brewers, Halfday deli is our chance to explore bread in all its glory being a micro bakery. Designed by Melburnian architect Alana Cooke, Halfday is concrete, steel, sharp lines and spotted gum. Built to be an intimate date spot, spinning vinyl records in a curated acoustic environment. Offering 55+ local, regional & international wines to seal the date night deal.

Halfday & Halfnight
As the name suggests Halfday Deli is open half the day serving sandos, salads, coffee & matcha. The other half the show is nights, serving biga fermented pizza. A cross of New York & Neapolitan style, super light with a funk finish.

Sando Days
Halfday bakes its ciabatta, focaccia and shokupan every morning (4:30am) here you'll always get fresh bread. Our sandos are more on the cooked side of things, not your normal deli offering. We're talking bussin meatballs, grilled chook, rare roast beef and a cotoletta to name a few, with some deli meats and vegan sandos too. 
Being a bakery means were in early AF so why miss the show. Breakfast sandos kick off from 6am serving egg slabs, sausage patties and hash patties on our ciabatta rolls which will most likely still be warm

Pizza Nights
We've always like to put little twists on classics to make them our own, the pizza menu is no exception. 
Core to our menu ethos is a rotating house made pasta and the use of our days bread on the menu, weather its and anchovy toast or warm bread and cultured butter.

What a find!
What a find! The BEST (it takes a lot for me to say that) coffee and the food was to die for. You can tell this place loves what they do as it shows in what they serve up. If you ever travel to Wollongong then hit this place up. It wont disappoint.
