Highly highly recommended. Excellent food prepared and served well.
What a joy this restaurant is! The people of Young should rejoice that Emma and her friendly team have created such a lovely, comfortable foody experience! Have eaten there several times now. The standard of both the food and the service has remained very high. A Must Go recommendation from us.
A very enjoyable evening with friends.
We chose this instead of another (set price) restaurant as Elliotz had a wider selection of vegetarian and seafood options.
Excellent service from genuinely friendly, not touristy friendly, staff who had their eyes on the diners’ needs without being obtrusive. We had squid and for starters; rack of lamb, duck breast and barramundi for mains. Each of the starters and mains were well presented, and not overwhelmed by a plethora of competing additions, thus allowing the flavours of the food to come through. The vegetables were done well, with even the humble spud being exceedingly tasty. The rack could have been cut through a bit more to separate each cutlet. One of the racks was requested as medium but came out med/rare, though still enjoyed.
The Rymill red complemented each dish beautifully. However, I would have liked to see more local wines on the wine list to support regional growers. The Grove MCB is a ‘nice’ quaffing wine; they, and others have much better quality available.
We chose a selection of three desserts which we enjoyed between four of us. Cost? $300 we’ll spent.
The good people of Young, and visitors like us, are well served by Elliotz.
The atmosphere and food were all top notch.
Best food in town!!
Every single dish is delicious!! I’ve tried most on the menu and delighted with everything. Vietnamese prawn cakes, crisp pork belly, rib eye steak with amazing sauces, chicken Mignon, pasta- you name it, it’s fantastic. By far the best food in town and very reasonably priced. Great service and lovely wines. Thoroughly recommend.
