About Devon Pixies Tea House
Devon Pixies Tea House on Jacaranda Avenue in Kingston is a charming retreat where time slows and tradition lingers. Set within a restored cottage, it welcomes guests with floral tablecloths, fine china and the comforting aroma of freshly baked scones. Sunlight filters through lace curtains, casting a soft glow over tiered trays of sandwiches and cakes. The gentle clink of teacups and warm chatter create an atmosphere of simple elegance. On the verandah, surrounded by jacaranda blooms, visitors sip fragrant tea and unwind, perhaps enjoying a chicken, mayonnaise, lettuce and cheese wrap. From the cottage dining menu, delve into roasted pumpkin and feta frittata with kale salad and potato crisps, or devour beef lasagne, garden salad and baked garlic potato cake.
A few words from Devon Pixies Tea House
Devon Pixies has just been announced as the 2025 Queensland Tourism Award Gold winner in the Tourism Restaurant and Catering category, sponsored by TAFE Queensland. This is a major achievement for this small family operated business and demonstrates their commitment to customer service and business improvement.
Starting in 2015, in the semi rural location of Logan Village, owner / operator Arwen McGregor, has been working consistently to provide a warm and welcoming high tea experience for celebrations, catch ups, and anything in between. Devon Pixies relocated to the 100 year old workers cottage within the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct at the end of 2021, adding casual cafe dining to their service options. They also open for onsite precinct events with coffee and cold drinks services.
Freshly baked scones served with thick dollop cream and mixed berry jam served as part of a high tea or on their own with a pot of loose leaf tea is fast becoming a Logan foodie favourite. The main high tea features hot savoury bites, ribbon sandwiches, a decorated cupcake, and two sweet slices or tarts and includes a refillable pot of loose leaf tea, plunger coffee, or small pot of hot chocolate. Guests can alternatively choose a specialty coffee to enjoy.
