About Clock by the Bay
Experience the charm of an historic old post office at Clock by the Bay restaurant, just a short distance from Portland Wharf on Cliff Street. It’s hard to miss this grand two-storey venue, standing on Bentinck Street roundabout, with tall arched windows and terraced balcony, where the inside embraces visitors in a warm ambience as they enter. Open for dinner until late, a Modern Australian menu of mouth-watering offerings showcases local produce from course to course, with entrees like Angus beef tartare, togarashi, sesame aioli, coriander and crispy rice. For the main, perhaps delve into lamb rump, cumin puree, sheep’s milk and curry leaves; or beetroot gnocchi, walnut, sage, brown butter and curds. Those looking to indulge may be enticed by Bop’s divine apple pie panna cotta to finish.
