This Melbourne dining destination exudes a warm and inviting vibe of exposed brick walls adorned with artwork, polished concrete floors and trailing greenery, to set the scene for inspired dining. From hot and cold mezze to mains, there is something to tempt all taste buds; perhaps set the scene with a starter of char-grilled octopus, lemon, parsley and traditional halva, or pan-fried butter scallops and lemon. Marinated char-grilled lamb fillet skewers entice for a memorable main, with rice and char-grilled vegetables; or share a mixed grill platter of lamb and chicken skewers, lamb cutlets, kofte, rice and vegetables. Finish with a dessert of chocolate slice and ice cream.

I have eaten at Chef Sofra several times over this past year and it is, by far, one of the greatest restaurants I have ever eaten at. The authentic Turkish cuisine, filled with love and passion, transports you back to the lively streets of Ordu, Adapazari, and the entirety of Turkey. The food, fresh, favourful, and transcendent, leaves you wanting more, yet satisfied and grateful for tasting such delicious meals. I cannot recommend Chef Sofra enough, it deserves all this love and praise! Thank you for always producing meals and an atmosphere I will always cherish in my heart! I can’t wait to eat there again soon!
Delicious food every time
My favourite dish is the octopus. They always cook it to perfection and give me extra lemon to put on. The halva on the side is a nice treat too. The staff are great at communicating with the kitchen to ensure my food is anaphylactic safe and even give me suggestions on what is both tasty and allergen free! I love coming every time, especially because the chef gives me a hug! ??
