Experience ‘gastronomie Française’ at Ché Bon on Cherry Street in Ballina, where French tradition meets Australian fusion. On balmy days sit alfresco at wooden tables with cheery orange chairs, while indoors, fairy lights and black-clothed tables set an elegant tone for evening fine dining from a menu of French favourites. Say bon appetit to a date with friends and savour snails in garlic and parsley butter, or beef tartare, miso, wasabi and sesame oil, with salad and bread. For the main, say merci to confit duck leg, served with carrot mash and orange reduction, cote de boeuf – grass-fed tomahawk steak with rich meat jus, salad, seasonal vegetables and fries – or duck liver pâté, prunes, cognac red wine reduction, salad and bread. Finish with coconut and pineapple panna cotta.

I can not wait to go back again and again
Had the best evening with my husband Dave. He fine wine and dined me at Che Bon a French restaurant in Ballina, NSW, Australia. OMGOSH, the food was so delicious and I did try snails in garlic butter sauce, the orange duck and carrot puree WOW...this is certainly a night to remember and I can not wait to go back again. The French accent waitresses and service was an experience to always remember. My new place to wine and dine and affordable prices. Thank You to all the staff it was a night to remember.
