An alliance of fire, stone and steel, forged in a deliciously rugged fashion, Brown Street Grill is the Perth dining destination for all things wood-fired and charcoal grilled. Situated within Bright Tank Brewing Company, this restaurant is the brainchild of hospitality stalwarts Stuart and Phoebe Laws and showcases WA produce cooked by smoke and flames. The open concept kitchen is decked out with some serious tools of the trade – a Mesiano wood-fired pizza oven and custom-built grill used to produce honest, tasty fare. Pair any icy ale with small plates like baked scallops with huancaina and chilli corn salsa, or Wagyu steak tartare, cornichons, black garlic aioli and cassava crisps; before lamb rump shawarma, baba ganoush, toum and mint salad, or a T-bone with Parish mash and port jus.

Simple, great quality food cooked to perfection.
The best casual dining experience I’ve ever had. If you want to share a few plates of locally produced food with friends over a beer brewed 5m from your table, this is the place. Then, add the fact that the food is cooked over an open fire, taking on that smoke and char that make all great bbq food delicious. The dishes have no more ingredients than are absolutely necessary to make the dish sing, something a few fine dining restaurants could take note of. It’s bustling, unpretentious, the serving team are friendly and great with kids… I honestly can’t fault a thing, just go. You’ll be blown away. We’ll done to the team that put this place together. You nailed it.
