One of the hottest new dining venues to hit the Townsville culinary scene, Bridgewater Restaurant and Bridge Bar on Dibbs Street offers guests a touch of coastal elegance in North Queensland. Positioned on the first floor, the restaurant has been purposely created to offer an unparalleled dining experience with an open plan design and unsurpassed river and city views, while downstairs enjoy a light lunch by the glistening water, or chill out after work with drinks and nibbles as the sun sets. A carefully crafted menu highlighting local, seasonal produce, delivers starters such as Townsville bug and scallops, Korean noodles, kombu, pickled shimeji and Foshan chilli sauce; while for the main affair delve into Western Plains pork cutlet and belly, braised lentils, pimento sauce and coriander.

this restaraunt ticks every box - the greeting, the seating, (padded chairs - yay!) the service is second to none, and the food! wowsers - words couldnt do it justice. the maitre D just the right degree of friendly and always on the mark for top ups of our champers :)





Premium dining experience.
As a frequent diner I am so thrilled that Bridgewater has lived up to all the hype. To start the location is perfect along Ross Creek. At night the city lights sets the scene and creates extra buzz and atmosphere. We arrived at Bridgewater early so we could experience the Bridge Bar downstairs. A great use of space, very open and relaxed. Attentive staff who couldn't wait to mix us up a cocktail. Ideal for groups wanting a classy bar with one of the best views in Townsville. The menu is great for sharing and I can see myself settling in on a Sunday very soon. After a couple of stunning cocktails our host showed us to our table upstairs. Staff were very professional and had a great understanding of the menu. Once inside you get a feeling of luxury and class but still relaxed. The fit out not over done and creates a sense of space that's sleek and spacious. All tables get a great view of the city and creek thanks to the large windows that can be opened when the weather permits. The food has a good mix of fresh local seasonal produce combined with more complex dishes that are well balanced and creative. Our table was keen to try a variety so we mixed it up with some shares and starters. This area of the menu really highlights the local produce. For main my duck was outstanding but after looking at the Quail dish and the Goats cheese Tortellini I kind of wished we shared mains too. Lot's of smiles and excitement around the table .
The wine list has a great mix of iconic labels, to smaller producers from a multitude of regions. It was also exciting to see some trendy varietals such as Gruner, Mataro and Gamay on the list.

Knocking it out of the park. Townsville’s Best.
Ty and Matt have been doing great things with Jam, they have however kicked it up a gear or seven with the opening of Bridgewater. Awesome ambiance and fit out in the new building, showing what Townsville really has to offer in the dining precinct. The menu is sensational, both in the bar, and in the fine dine restaurant upstairs. Lamb neck, purple Congo gnocchi, torched goats cheese, ragu + basil sauce (starter), and 31° South cold smoked 300gm rib fillet 40(main) are my go to favourites already. We just can’t get enough of these guys.
