Memorable birthday celebration
We had a great night at Botaniq Bar celebrating my daughter’s Birthday. Ang made the planning process very easy & was happy to accommodate any request. It was exactly what we envisioned & more. Warm ambience, exceptional service & the food was delicious! Adi & all the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. All our guests raved about the venue & what a good night it was.

Outstanding food and service
We had our annual ladies long lunch here , there were 25 of us and the food was quick and so beautiful . Such good value and the service was outstanding. Nothing was to much trouble Including special cocktail requests

Amazing intimate dining experience - 20th Wedding Anniversary - Bridgewater QBAR
Spectacular Amalfi themed private lounge/dining setting overlooking the water - complete with an array of perfectly selected arrangements - beautiful handmade Italian linen - even a customised Vespa! So much to take in - the attention to detail was evident everywhere. We were greeted by our fabulous Host Matt Merrin - we knew then and there this was going to be a very special night indeed. Mouth-watering pre-dinner Canapés and Cocktails were enjoyed whilst languishing on the ever so gorgeous and extremely comfortable leather Chesterfield (could have sat there all night). Having forced ourselves up from the Chesterfield, we moved to our perfectly laid dining table, where we were treated to the most decadent personalised “all senses tingling” 5 Course Italian themed Degustation , perfectly paired with exceptional Italian wines (2018 Chianti - WOW!) We ended the night with “Amalfi Surprise” - the most amazingly decorated and exquisitely tasting Citrus Lemon Cake. Without a doubt the best dining experience to date - and the most memorable. We had to pinch ourselves the entire time, as we could not believe that this was just for the two of us, that someone would go to all of this trouble just for us - for our 20th Anniversary.
It was an absolute privilege to have had Matt and Ty take time out for us, and it also goes without saying there culinary genius continues to shine and elevate to the most extraordinary levels. And let us not forget our Hostess Sam who could not have been more fabulous and attentive, and to Paul, the most knowledgeable and extremely passionate Sommelier.
We sincerely cannot thank Matt enough for having agreed to organise this special event for us, knowing that we had planned to be in Italy for our 20th Wedding Anniversary - if it had not been for Covid.
To Matt, Ty, Angela, Sam, Paul and the entire Team - please accept our heartfelt thanks and appreciation.

Consistently perfect!
Every meal I have ever had here has been perfect. The quality of the food is second to none and never disappoints. We have done lunches, dinners, degustation's, events etc and the food and service has always been impeccable. Would recommend to everyone!

An event to remember!
Our event (Christmas Function for 50 staff, held in QBar) was managed professionally and with ease. Angela and Samantha both communicated well, and managed our event seamlessly. Any minor hiccups were dealt with swiftly and professionally. The QBar was the perfect location for our event. The food and service was outstanding.
All our staff had a memorable and wonderful time.

The place to be!! Downstairs has a relax and trendy feel with tapas style meals and glorious cocktails!!! I’ve had the opportunity on many occasions to eat upstairs as well, and it’s elegant with beautiful views. The staff are an absolute delight, and the food is fabulous!!! Fresh with attention to every detail!! I love the fact that you can see the chefs at work.....keep up the good work.....see you all soon??

So nice to experience restaurant quality takeaway meal. Bridgewater was 100% on pointe with value for money, flavour & presentation. Look forward to getting back to in house dining.

this restaraunt ticks every box - the greeting, the seating, (padded chairs - yay!) the service is second to none, and the food! wowsers - words couldnt do it justice. the maitre D just the right degree of friendly and always on the mark for top ups of our champers :)

Premium dining experience.
As a frequent diner I am so thrilled that Bridgewater has lived up to all the hype. To start the location is perfect along Ross Creek. At night the city lights sets the scene and creates extra buzz and atmosphere. We arrived at Bridgewater early so we could experience the Bridge Bar downstairs. A great use of space, very open and relaxed. Attentive staff who couldn't wait to mix us up a cocktail. Ideal for groups wanting a classy bar with one of the best views in Townsville. The menu is great for sharing and I can see myself settling in on a Sunday very soon. After a couple of stunning cocktails our host showed us to our table upstairs. Staff were very professional and had a great understanding of the menu. Once inside you get a feeling of luxury and class but still relaxed. The fit out not over done and creates a sense of space that's sleek and spacious. All tables get a great view of the city and creek thanks to the large windows that can be opened when the weather permits. The food has a good mix of fresh local seasonal produce combined with more complex dishes that are well balanced and creative. Our table was keen to try a variety so we mixed it up with some shares and starters. This area of the menu really highlights the local produce. For main my duck was outstanding but after looking at the Quail dish and the Goats cheese Tortellini I kind of wished we shared mains too. Lot's of smiles and excitement around the table .
The wine list has a great mix of iconic labels, to smaller producers from a multitude of regions. It was also exciting to see some trendy varietals such as Gruner, Mataro and Gamay on the list.
Congratulations Matt Merrin and Tyrone Samual. You have created a stunning venue and one to be very proud of. We are already looking to book again soon.

Knocking it out of the park. Townsville’s Best.
Ty and Matt have been doing great things with Jam, they have however kicked it up a gear or seven with the opening of Bridgewater. Awesome ambiance and fit out in the new building, showing what Townsville really has to offer in the dining precinct. The menu is sensational, both in the bar, and in the fine dine restaurant upstairs. Lamb neck, purple Congo gnocchi, torched goats cheese, ragu + basil sauce (starter), and 31° South cold smoked 300gm rib fillet 40(main) are my go to favourites already. We just can’t get enough of these guys.
