Revolutionising how Gold Coast diners eat and enjoy casual fine dining, Bottega on Thomas Drive brings a little slice of Italy to Chevron Island. Founded by Enzo Loterzo – who wanted to deliver a piece of his previous award-winning Hawthorn restaurant to the GC – this stylish venue blends polished concrete, exposed brick and moody lighting, with a menu embracing housemade pasta, pizza and an extensive wine list. Start with pistachio-crumbed butterflied sardines with Salmonriglio dressing; before mains like slow-cooked braised stuffed lamb breast, tomato, capers and black olive sauce. Pasta lovers can delve into linguine with blue swimmer crab, tomato sugo, lemon, basil and chilli, or pick up a slice of Bada Bing pizza – pork and fennel sausage, fior di latte, oregano and cherry tomato.

Tried this Italian restaurant last week when I was in Gold Coast with my family. We all enjoyed some delicious food . Thanks to the chef and staff.
sensational superb food!
After a movie, we were looking for a place who's kitchen was open around about 8.45.
So we basically found this superb restaurant on our way home! We asked the waitress and was delightfully surprised to see that the kitchen was in fact open. It was a Friday night.
No I'm not a foodie but after this meal I took a photo of the menu so I could let you know exactly what we had.
Finding this restaurant was our first surprise, the second was our meal! OMG it was absolutely sensational!
My husband ordered the Risotteria (Risotto), the Capasante Spinachi e Zafferano (Tasmanian Scallops, spinach, saffron and Parmigiano) and said it was absolutely fabulous!
I ordered Filetto di Vitello Ripieno (Veal Tenderloin stuffed with wild mushrooms wrapped in prosciutto and crumbled Milanese style with a duck skin butter sauce.
Oh my goodness this superb dish was so elegantly served with two round disks of veal with mushrooms wrapped in prosciutto sitting in a superb creamy butter sauce. Its been a long time since I've had something so deliciously tasty. Every morsel was incredible! It was served with their classic Italian Potatoes which were roasted with garlic and also delicious and crunchy! We also ordered Insalata Caprese - Slices of truss tomatoes, Basil, Stracciatella mozzarella, EVO, 1912 mother musk balsamic.
We thought it could not get better then ordered and shared the Creme' Brûlée al Cloccolato con Pera al Chianti (Chocolate creme Brûlée with oven baked vincotto strawberries.
It was the smoothest Brûlée we've ever had, heaven on a spoon! If you want a divine meal we would highly recommend this excellent and elegant restaurant! The waitress's were so lovely and Sandra the Hostess was gorgeous. 10/10 perfection!
Unfortunately I didn't take any photos as we were too busy savouring every morsel.

Amazing experience
The owner and staff at Bottega are committed to giving you the best possible experience. Service with a smile, food was delicious and the attention to our table was always on point. House-made desserts and biscuits were the cherry on top! I highly recommend this restaurant as it is doing something no one else on the Gold Coast is doing.

As authentic as you can get
I was more than happy to find this hidden gem when strolling through chevron. The food reminds me of my visits to Italy and the it's always a warm qelcome when I step through the doors. The atmosphere combined with the beautiful food makes this place a must!!

I recently moved from the Sunshine Coast to the GC and stumbled across this restaurant while finding accommodation. I have never felt such a warm welcome, and the chef serves the meals and chats with the guests. You become part of a family, and oh, the food is flawless!
Authentic Italian food
The menu is variety from arancini, polpette, burrata, ravioli & agnalotti which are made from scratch, risotto, pizza, canoli and there is a special menu of the day which is change everyday, so don't missed out! Tasty and great price !
