This warm and intimate restaurant and bar hides in a subterranean sandstone cellar in the back streets of the eastern suburbs, where the walls are covered with racks of wine and people are united for a special moment in time in a unique atmosphere. With a name meaning ‘fine wine’ expect to sample glasses like Clarence House Pinot Noir to accompany an entrée of duck ravioli and truffle beurre fondue; before tantalising mains such as King George whiting, saffron pickled cauliflower puree, onion marmalade and burnt butter, paired with a Hughes & Hughes Chardonnay. Chocolate truffle cake, with white chocolate sauce and banana chips, makes for an indulgent finish to a memorable meal.
