About Bistro Guillaume Melbourne

Great service, fine food, charismatic magnetism - Bistro Guillaume in Southbank’s Crown Casino precinct has all these down to a fine art. Generous portions of decadent French comfort food are on the menu here, in a warm setting. Falling from the ceiling are giant cream coloured puffs; resembling a cross between a meringue & exclusive shower cap, creating a classy & noble setting. The menu may include: Half Roasted Chicken with paris mash and chicken jus or King prawn with avocado cream, tomato, croutons and cos lettuce.

DISAPPOINTING DISAPPOINTING DISAPPOINTING dining at Bistro Guillaume at Crown Melbourne. The service was lacking and dismissive, waiting staff went through the motions of welcoming us only to leave us without a wine list or bread (which seemed to be the way they welcomed other tables) for more than 10 minutes. Our food order took quite a while (which under less restrictive management time arrangements would have been okay to an extent) however, at Bistro Guillaume it meant when it came to dessert we were asked if we'd like a table in the bar to complete our intended three course meal to which we instantly replied no - what a way to be made feel welcome when there would have been plenty of time if the waiting staff had been conscious of the time restrictions themselves. The environment was mostly pretentious scattered with diners who would have been more at home at MacDonalds complete with an over tired 2 year old (at 9pm you could understand). The food was okay but all in all nothing special. After a wonderful experience at Bistro Guillaume Crown Perth this was an unexpected let down. Don't waste your time, money or energy ... there are much better places.
