A delicious surprise in Geelong
We had 'leave it to the chef menu' not one dish disappointed, amazing flavours, textures and plated beautifully on crockery made by the chef also. Service was wonderful, wine list small. but well thought out
Exceptional
Just amazing food- there are no other words. Standouts were the eggplant and tofu dishes with the fermented beetroot icecream to finish.
Delicious, informative, cosy atmosphere
Delicious food, fresh and local produce a lot of it home grown at their family farm or a local greenhouse they use run by a community organisation called VACCA where students are gaining their horticulture certificate, no chemicals or pesticeds are used and the utmost care has been taken to ensure the best quality, and boy oh boy can you taste it, not only the produce is at its peak, but Brian the Head Chef simply compliments the ingredient with his style of cooking. We had the "leave it to the house menu" at 65pp, its 10 or so dishes and also dessert. It goes for about and hour and it required whole table participation, but they do have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options for it.
Their drinks list is impressive, majority Australian, alot of local ( Geelong, Melbourne) wine, spirits and craft beer.. If you drink craft beer its sure to impress, the range is extensive with a few advance and unique options on there too.
There spirits are majority Australian apart from the tequila, my choice is the prickly pear and wild fennel gin. Made in Melbourne, the chef at Baah lah also helped pick some of the makers prickly pear and fennel.
The staff are super informed with the backstory on all the dishes and drinks list, theyre genuine, real and attentive.
The soundtrack is a winner, and the building itself is very tasteful, comfortable, clean and warm. The indoor plants throughout won me over straight away. All the ceramics in the building are made by their head chef, and other art all from local artist.
To say the least we were impressed.

All the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, the food was delicious, and having the all Australian drinks list was a great touch.
Could not recommended enough, a great new place for Geelong, and my new favourite!!
