Brilliant comfort food at its best with a "Mother Superior" of a maître d' just quietly looking after everything. Talking about comfort food, the owner suggested I tried this Afghan stew thingy in a deep earthenware jar with a fried egg on top. Can't remember the name but apparently the Afghans have it for breakfast before tackling a mountain or two. Just a lovely, lovely evening, nicely full (me that is) and we can't wait to get back in there.
Me and my friend dropped in for Dinner last night & having never tried Afghani food before, me and my friend both agreed it was well worth it. The food lovely, delicious & filling, specially the mung bean & sticky rice main dish - very nice! & the dessert mmmmm Service was wonderful, we enquired about the banquet, and it was no problem at all to cater for me being vegetarian. The only criticism I can make is the friendly but a bit shy young waitress who served us, just make sure you know what's in the dish you're serving, She knew most of the time but sometimes she forgot, she was very nice though.
