About Hiking on Lord Howe Island

Lord Howe Island's famous peaks, spectacular views and natural splendor make hiking the ideal activity to best explore the island on foot. Transitt Hill in the centre of the island leads you to a lookout, providing panoramic views of your lush surrounds. To reward youself with a swim in the tranquil island waters, take a hike around North Bay, winding up through Blackbutt Forest. In the south, Goat House Cave is a rope assisted climb, where the views are reward for the 6km challenge, with Mount Gower considered one of the world's best hikes.
