As usual, food is really good & service not so good, but I think a little better than last time. Worth going for the food.

I Had dinner again here with friends & it was just as good. My friends have voted it the best real chinese restaurant in Brisbane.

This is the 4th time we have visited Fortune well. We keep coming back because the food is delicious and very authentic. However, the service leaves ALOT to be desired! Tonight our table was so SHOCKED to see one of the waiters smoking at the front of the restaurant, not once but twice during our stay, right next to the' NO SMOKING' signs. This caused a chain reaction and other diners stood in the same area smoking too. We were dining alfresco, so this certainly affected our meal. The waitress looking after the alfresco area did not acknowledge our requests and was more interested in watching what was happening at a near by restaurant or talking on the phone or to her friends who were hanging out the front also. It is such a shame that the great food on offer is let down by very poor floor staff. Their level of English is low, but it's their enthusiasm for the job which is lowest. We did have one young gent deliver a plate & assist with a request. He was excellent!! He apologised that his English was not so good, but he was so helpful and polite that it was not an issue. The young lady working in this area could learn from him. As on previous visits, the food was top notch..boiled pork with garlic and chilli, wonton soup and the fish swimming in chilli oil is out of this world, please train your staff to the same standard as your food and this would be a number one restaurant!
