Tres Bon! Had a wonderful lunch. Foie Gras, beef cutlet and crepe Suzette was fantastic. Bring your appetite because generous portions. Was there for my mothers birthday and they had a lovely table setting and the chef came out singing happy birthday with a lovely decorated dessert. Can't recommend more highly.

Excellent food, service and setting.
This is the best food I have ever tasted. The staff go out of their way to make you feel special and at the end, Christof the chef, visits each table to ask how the meal was and thank you for dinning with them. No matter how busy they are. If you are in the Canberra region, visiting Le Tres Bon is a absolute must.

In the classic Australian country setting of Bungendore village nestles Le Tres Bon restaurant run by renowned French chef Christophe Gregoire and his wife Josephine, aptly translated as ‘the very good.' This charming restaurant and cooking school is the epitome of provincial France; an old brick fireplace, elegant timber chairs and cloth draped tables topped with fresh flowers furnish the dining room for a romantic ambiance suited to intimate dining. Classic French dishes are prepared with local produce and inspired by Christophe’s world travels to fill the menu with ingredients like truffles, foie gras and fromage blanc. Try a rich foie gras, with Muscat gelee served with ginger spice bread followed by a classic beef bourguignonne with mushrooms, lardons and truffle infused potato puree.
Chef Christophe’s Cassoulet: a classic hearty dish from south-west France with slow cooked ingredients full of flavour with fragrant white beans cooked in an aromatic sauce with a garnish of meat of duck confit, lamb navarin and smoked pork belly.
Le Tres Bon is the latest passion of Christophe Gregoire, a master chef from France, who has added a unique facet in culinary skill to the Canberra area, delighting many loyal patrons with his exquisite French cuisine since 1999. Along with spouse Josephine, they established their first restaurant - Christophe's Restaurant where they earned a firm following of loyal patrons.LE TRES BON LOCATIONBungendore village is the new home for Christophe's cuisine.
