Awesome fine dining. Meals are wonderfully presented and taste divine. Wonderful staff and impeccable service.
My husband and I had a superb lunch today (14/01/2016) at Tides, the views, the service and food all perfect. Kerry and Tony looked after us, these guys know what they are doing. A lovely memory - thank you so much.
My wife and two daughters had lunch at Tides today (Sunday September 6) the entree, main and dessert were extremely well presented and the food tasted every bit as good as it looked, an excellent restaurant, excellent position with excellent service. Thank you to all the staff. Allan Bougoure
My wife and I had dinner at Tides whilst recently on holidays from NSW. We both agree it was the best seafood meal we've had, we'll be back again soon we hope.

Set directly opposite Caloundra’s Bullcock Beach, Tides Waterfront Restaurant is perched above the esplanade with sprawling water views. Enter to discover an elegant interior, styled with a coastal theme of white table linens, a stacked stone bar and an open timber deck to relax on and enjoy the views. Only fresh seafood could live up to the setting and fortunately for lucky locals, Tides delivers a menu which is constantly adapted with each season, offering entrée dishes of seared scallops, cauliflower, wild mushroom and black garlic or crumbed beef cheek and quince. For a memorable main, opt for the crispy Darling Downs pork belly, almond, pickled garlic, leek and pear or perhaps the Coral Coast barramundi, soubise, charred squid and mojo verde with a side of baby carrots.
Chef's tasting menu: a menu designed for the avid food lover with your choice of either five or seven courses. Sample dishes like the roasted pork belly, almond, pickled garlic and leek pear or the fillet of beef, potato, braised brisket and parsley emulsion.
Tides Waterfront's outlook over Bulcock Beach would be classed as a million-dollar view in any postcode, but this restaurant aims to offer Caloundra locals more than just a pretty vista. Tides boasts an evocative menu of contemporary dishes, with trawler-fresh seafood in the lead role. Entrees are fascinatingly intricate, with dishes including chef's tasting plate, which is a delightful plate of tapas and entrees including, scallops roasted with capsicum, smoked bacon and parmesan cheese, lightly grilled. Anthony Shone's main courses range from letting the seafood do the talking, like the cold seafood platter; a combination of fresh sustainable seafood sourced from the some of the country's finest areas, to the more articulated pan seared salmon, with saffron & celeriac puree, buttered leeks and NZ musselsThe food is matched to a wine list showcasing some of Australia's finest drops, mixed with some well known names. There is a selection of aged wines to appease the discerning drinker as well, with all the top winery's having a place. Tides Waterfront has been awarded Best Seafood Restaurant on the Sunshine Coast 2012 by Restaurant and Catering Qld and 1 Goblet by the Australian Wine Lists of the Year 2012, which featured in Gourmet Traveler. With knowledable staff to help guide you through the process from first being seated to the final sip of your coffee, they are always there, but never in your way. Tides Waterfront is an experience to remember.Located directly opposite the Pumistone Passage, with views from the Pacific Ocean, to sunsets over the Glasshouse Mountains, there is always something to see. Look carefully and you might be lucky to spot the family of dolphins who regularly swim up and down the passage. Tides Waterfront is a must visit on any trip to Caloundra. If the spectacular views don't draw you in the friendly beach side formal service and the delicious food will.
