About Maningrida

The town of Maningrida, on the north coast of Arnhem Land, is famous for 2 things: its pristine fishing and its indigenous art. Maningrida’s waterways are teeming with barramundi, salmon, mangrove jack, golden snapper, Spanish mackerel, trevally and coral trout. Maningrida Arts & Culture represents more than 700 artists who work with bark paintings, sculptures, fibre art, didjeridus, regalia, & prints. Many of the works form this area are displayed in major national & international collections.
