The Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre tells the story of Chinese miners and their arduous journey from Southern China to the Victorian goldfields. Offering history, culture and education, Gum San brings to life the stories behind the immigrant miners, recreating social, political and environmental issues of the time. With a variety of hands on experiences, try your hand at calligraphy, learn about the Chinese language and traditions and discover the delight of gold panning. A journey from the 1800's through to modern day, the Gum San Chinese Heritage Centre is an interactive experience for all visitors.
