Festivale

Presiding over Launceston’s City Park in Tasmania for three days of foodie fun is Festivale, an annual event held on the second weekend of February (occasionally spanning across Valentine ’s Day for the romantics). It’s herald as one of Tasmania’s premier summer events, designed to celebrate and showcase the very diverse nature of Tasmanian food, wine, beer, arts and entertainment. Festivale plays host to over 70 local stalls, introducing their best produce whether it be cheese, donuts, flammkuchen, whiskey or cider which goes hand in hand alongside numerous masterclasses and demonstrations. In past years Festivale has hosted guest appearances by Stephanie Alexander, Guy Grossi, Peter Kuruvita, Greg Malouf and 2017 will see Simon Bryant attending the Festivale Lunch at Stillwater.
