Clare Valley Restaurant, Accommodation & Travel Highlights

About Clare Valley

The Clare Valley is famed for its distinctive variety of wines, local produce, restaurants and country pubs. The great majority of wineries are small-scale boutique producers, and many are concentrated along a single land corridor just 15 minutes from Clare. You’ll find cellar doors operating out of farmhouses and sheds, heritage buildings and state-of-the-art structures. If there’s one thing that distinguishes the Clare Valley, it’s their internationally renowned Riesling. While you’re here don’t miss the opportunity to follow the Riesling Trail – a 25 kilometre walking and cycling route. As far as the food & produce of the area goes, the Clare Valley’s restaurants and food outlets are second to none. Most of the ingredients and products you’ll find here are either locally-grown or locally-made and many of Clare Valley’s gourmet food producers have returned to time-honoured means of food processing. Grab a bite at a local pub, or sit and savor the moment at a cellar door restaurant.
