About Refuge Small Bar
Keeping it fresh, local and evolving is the motto behind well-loved Subiaco watering hole Refuge Small Bar on Subiaco Square Road. Since 2016, this Perth dining destination has been serving locals independently owned beer, wine and spirits, with a focus on fresh, quality and handmade fare from the kitchen. On balmy WA days take to the alfresco area and watch the world pass by, while indoors is cosy and eclectic with wooden booth seating, accents and artwork along with a well-stocked bar promising cheeky cocktails. Those a little peckish start with buttermilk fried popcorn chicken, aioli and lemon, before housemade pappardelle, slow-braised lamb shoulder and chipotle labneh; perhaps wrap your hands around a slow-smoked beef brisket taco, with creamed corn, hot sauce and pickled cabbage.
