Sure, dining at Mambo Italiano is a more rustic occasion than what you’ll experience at some more ostentatious Melbourne Italian Restaurants, but you are sure to leave with a smile on your face and a whole lot of authentic Sicilian fare in your belly. The down to earth menu may include Ricotta and Parmesan Cheese stuffed calamari tubes or a fantastic version of stufato di pesce in crosta: traditional Sicilian fish stew - served in a bowl made of bread dough.

AMBIENCE
At Mambo Italiano there are several things we feel are of outmost importance, family, friends, great food, great value, great times, and being unique. The Giandinoto family has been running Mambo Italiano since December 06.
Our customers love the warm family atmosphere at Mambo's, whether you are having an intimate dinner for two or a family celebration we have something for everyone.

FOOD
Our Menus have a strong Sicilian influence its rustic and simplistic ingredients leave you enjoying each and every flavor.

There is something for everyone at Mambo's. For breakfast enjoy a range of varieties from Bacon and Eggs to our local's favourite "Mambo breakfast ". Our lunch menu has a range of both satisfying and light lunches whether you have the time to sit and relax or have something fast for those that are on the go. We also have authentic thin crust wood fire oven pizzas and calzones which we have been told are the best in the area. Our new dinner menu has been designed to give you a taste of true "Cucina Siciliana"

Mambo Italiano is the home of Pizza Nappa™ our very own Upside down pizza in a bowl. In 2008 it was featured in the Chanel 9 Show, the "chopping block " Pizza Napa is here to stay and we urge you to come in and discover why the Nappa is so loved!

THE CHEF
Born in Giarratana, a little town in southern Sicily, Head chef and owner Joseph Giandinoto's love for cooking came at a very young age. He would sit for hours and watch the females of his family prepare traditional dishes. He was mesmerized by the techniques they used and the passion they instilled in their cooking.

Joseph works very hard in ensuring only the best quality of food. His Sicilian heritage has played a major role in his decisions for his menu. "Sicilian cooking differs from other regional dishes. It has a rustic influence and its simplistic ingredients leave you enjoying each and every flavor" says Joseph.

THEME NIGHTS
In July 09 we introduced our Sicilian theme nights when the restaurant is set up with one long table "la tavola lunga" and our customers join in together for a night of feast and laughter.

COOKING CLASSES
In 2010 we are introducing a cooking class following our themed night for those that love the Sicilian cuisine and want to learn how to cook it.

FUNCTIONS
Come and celebrate your special occasions at Mambo Italiano. Our restaurant can accommodate up to 50 people for a sit down function. We can also cater for cocktail function.
We are happy to discuss different menu options with you and come up with a unique menu that you and your guests will be delighted with.

At Mambo we have held functions for Christmas break up parties, Christening, First Communions, Confirmations, Birthdays, Engagements, and soon a wedding as well.

We always have a special menu for Valentine's Day, Mothers day and Fathers day, as these are three of our most popular days book early to avoid disappointment.



Mambo Italiano is now part of the Qantas Frequent flyer program. Our customers will be able to earn 3 points for every Dollar they spend at Mambo's. We are also partner in the Myer One restaurant program. Our customers may choose to earn 2 points for every dollar they spend with us on.
