Combining colour and comfort with authentic taste, Maroush Lebanese Restaurant is a hidden gem in Eltham. Family owned and operated, Maroush makes you feel welcome with personalised service, and a lavish dining room decorated with vibrant warm colours and sheer curtains opening out to a lush al fresco area. The owner/chef makes daily visits to the markets, so you can always bet on fresh local produce and seafood. Select a la carte options like maroush basha (tagine of braised lamb with Arabian herbs and spices, tomato concasse and saffron rice) or to best experience the flavours of Lebanese cuisine, try one of the banquets. Then shake your hips with the belly dancers, performing live on Friday and Saturday nights. Bookings at Maroush are essential.
Siyadieh - fillet fish of the day grilled and served on a bed of dark pilaf cooked in fish stock, coated with roasted pine nuts and deep fried onions
