About Zebra Crossing
Ocean Grove's first watering hole overcame more than 100 years of prohibition to open its doors.
The liquor license application went all the way to the Supreme Court to overturn a 1888 covenant banning booze in the town. The covenant stated "that no part of the above land shall be used for the manufacture or sale of malted spirituous or vinous liquors".
But since the opening, owners Caron Zilwood and Paul Young have been occupied with a steady stream of residents and tourists alike.
A fantastic casual atmosphere occupies this premises with its relaxing couches, great views over the water, and some of the best counter meals along the Bellarine Peninsula.
Right in the heart of town, Zebra Crossing is still the only Tavern in Town.
