Firehouse Hotel - 1.46km from Waqu Modern Japanese Dining
Come dine in at the Firehouse Hotel for dinner. Each night there is a different $10 special.
Very good menu selection. Second time I have been to this restaurant, 8 course degustation menu with a bottle of wine for just under $400 for 2 people is great value. I have been to Est, Aria and Black and spent on average $200 more per person and I have had a better dinning experience at WAQU. I work in the industry and am constantly surrounded buy food of this quality so I am hard to impress and WAQU you have done this and more. For a great value degustation menu for a great price that anyone can afford then WAQU is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!
Very high quality cuisine. Highlights: salmon sashimi (picture) and wagyu beef. Excellent presentation and altogether a very very pleasant dining experience.
My family of four dined tonight and enjoyed WAQU's seasonal (Autunm) 6 course dinner. Food was first rate, with the prerequisites of quality, freshness, fulfilled. The subtle flavours were enhanced by a delicate yet bold touch. Their pumpkin soup was the beginning of a dining experience we will not forget. Followed by marinated scallops, chicken stuffed with mushroom rice, then grilled barramundi or salmon, followed by your choice of duck, lamb, or tajima wagyu beef (my favourite), finishing with a light and refreshing lychee/lime mousse and pear compote (peach was out of season). I can hardly wait for their Winter menu. You'd expect to pay a lot more for this calibre of food anywhere else in Sydney.
Amazing food. Best food i have ever eaten. Loved every second i was there
Very delicious food that I would expect from hatted restaurants and service was lovely
Contemporary Japanese cuisine takes on a western accent at Waqu, a pocket of tranquillity on a busy corner of Crows Nest.
