With an Aperol and gin-infused Canefire Sunset cocktail in hand, choose from a range of entrées such as salmon crudo, buttermilk, turmeric oil, compressed cucumber and smoked macadamias. With an international Masters in Cookery, Chef Goran Zonai and his multi-national team bring an abundance of flavour and spectacular eye catching dishes to each and every menu. The menu sources as much local produce as possible and is sure to leave you wanting more.
The carefully crafted wine selection features predominantly Australian and New Zealand wines as well as some international beauties. Restaurant Manager Paul Kelly has hand picked an array of wines, beers, ciders and developed amazing cocktails to ensure every great meal at Salsa can be accompanied by a great beverage.

Incredible Food and Dining Experience
This has to be one of the best restaurants my husband and I have ever eaten at. We had entrees, mains, deserts, coctails and wine and every single dish was so beautifully presented and so delicious. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and it has a great atmosphere. Salsa Bar and Grill is perfect for any occasion and is also kid friendly. We are hoping to make an annual trip back to Port Douglas and we will be coming back to Salsa Bar and Grill every trip! Seriously cannot recommend this restaurant enough!! Absolutely 10 out of 10!!!
great food, excellent service,
we thought it was a mexican restaurant , far from that. the food was of high standard , excellent service, had the pork belly entree, melt in you mouth. I had the pasta dish for main but an entree size it was so large, great wine list too, so much to chose from .would highly recommend . staff was outstanding, funny at times but very knowledgeable with the food and the wines. it was such a pleasure to dine there, made my birthday/honeymoon .hope to come back soon.
Paradise Perfection
We come up to Port Douglas atleast twice a year and Salsa is always on our must eat at restaurants. It never fails to impress, with an ever changing menu, cooked to perfection. A great as the food is it's made wben more special by the friendly, helpful staff. We are always made to feel like we are good friends coming to dinner. Keep doing what you do. We love it!

Dived into PD to skip the rain - so pleased our original restaurant choice was shut. My wife and I have eaten at top class restaurants around the world so we're not easy to please. The food was SENSATIONAL - the tapas special and pulled pork were "to die for", my wife had the Thai chicken spring rolls and was delighted. We'd already agreed we would not have pudding but after those four dishes we just had to see what was on offer. The mango Alaskan baked bomb was ORGASMIC and the creme brulee was as good as they get - we have had worse food in Michelin two star restaurants - it was simply breathtaking!!!! Well done Salsa - simply outstanding food and great low-key friendly service!!!
My boyfriend Nick and I were at the Grill a week ago on a Thursday night on recommendation from Jaqueline from the Lorna Jane shop when we were over from the UK on holiday. I can honestly say 100% that it was the best meal of our 24 day holiday in Australia and Hong Kong!! We had the most delicious food- sharing plate starter, barramundi and nanagui fish main dishes and gorgeous chocolate souffl? desserts!!! Oh and the cocktails, Isabelle's epiphany, strawberry champagne martini, Bloody Mary and my favourite the Obama Mojito!!!!! The staff were so friendly and informative and enthusiastic and the barmen actually let me have the Mojito recipe, never happens in the Uk! If we were still there, which I wish we were, adored Port Douglas, would go back there in a heartbeat!! Love it!!! Debi Bennett : ))) 10* Plus!!!

Always a great and unforgettable experience
OK ... I'll admit it's been 12 months since our last visit to Port... Gotta Get BACK There!!! Because not only is it 'the place of my heart' it has also attracted some of Australia's best chefs. The restaurant competition in Port is fierce because there are so many great ones... but the King of the pile, the TopDog, the Creme de la Creme has GOT to be my favourite restaurant of all - Salsa Bar and Grill! You can't beat it for originality, style, friendliness and longevity! Go Salsa!
Why this restaurant has not won any national awards proves how bias the restaurant reviewers are in this country, I have been a regular of Salsa for over 10 years in both locations and time after time have outshined those so called national award winning restaurants.

I have been eating at Salsa Bar since the old days and have continued to be a huge supporter. It has become almost a Religious Experience to enjoy Sunday Lunch at Salsa. Service is faultless and enthusiastic with great knowledge and understanding of the dishes. Food is consistantly good with an ever changing menu. Sadly Salsa is a standout in an almost wilderness of good food in the Cairns and Port Douglas Region. There are a number of Restaurants that win awards in the area that would not survive in a competitive environment. The exception is Salsa Bar where the reviews from Melbourne and Sydney Residents speak for themselves. It is THE Restaurant the locals dine at. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

Probably the most consistantly good restaurant in Port Douglas. A must do!!
