About Burra
Burra is in the Clare Valley Region located in the state of South Australia. The post code for Burra is 5417.
Burra is an old copper mining town, where the past has been well preserved in a wealth of pump houses, chimneys, vent shafts, storehouses and miners' cottages. Thirty-three of these cottages have been restored and can be rented out by visitors (see Paxton Square). Burra today is a pastoral centre and the Merino capital of the world.
