Unexpectadly very good
Having lived in Killara and now Gordon past 25 years I had never been to Cavallino. Dined there last Saturday night, and we were one exceptionally happy family. The children had pizzzas topped off with fries and the other one ham, straight out of the wood oven. My wife and I shared the kingfish and the scallops, and they were divine. I tried the venison and it was fantastic, my wife had the tortellini and it was simply outstanding. What a great find for us.

Cavallino back to its very best
Great to see Cavallino back to its best, dinner on Friday night was great, food was amazing, service was at times chaotic, but also very good. The seafood pasta was the star of the show for me.
As locals of Terrey Hills I can confidently say that by far Cavallino is the best and most authentic Italian restaurant in Northern Beaches and North Shore

Best Italian around St. Ives
10 Minutes from St Ives, we stumbled into Cavallino, an amazing find, wood fire pizzas, pastas, and more. A weekly family event now, friendly staff, and the quality of food and ingredients is simply fantastic.

Great venue, great service, great food
We hosted our 20th wedding anniversary at Cavallino, nothing was too much for them, the team went out of their way to accommodate all of our requests, menu changes, special cocktails which we asked for. and they even got the fire p;ace going for us. Great atmosphere, the cocktails were great and well priced, the menu was sensational, platters of starters with possibly the one of the best calamari we have ever had.
Cavallino is a great venue for Northern Beaches and upper north shore, we have lived in St.Ives for 15 years and never even knew they existed. A true European experience, its like an old hunting lodge with some serious charachter

Birthday Party at Cavallino
Cavallino hosted my sons Birthday party, the location is great, plenty of parking, amazing food. The bar area we booked and we had access also to the private deck area, a great night. The food at Cavallino is simple, authentic and exceptionally good. The only issue I can raise is that we requested pizzas to arrive at 8.30 but they arrived with the pasta.

It was a very busy Saturday night, service was efficient and atmosphere was warm and friendly

One of the best Mothers Day lunches
Flew in from Adelaide to spend weekend with my Mother on Mothers Day, family had booked Cavallino for lunch, did not know what to expect, but it turned out to be one of the best family events we have had.
Stepping into Cavallino is like walking into a large hunting lodge, an amazing venue, the menu was simple but done very well. What a great restaurant Cavallino is, multiple areas, fire places ideal for parties and functions
The prawn and crab ravioli was mouth watering, and being a foodie myself from one of the best eateries in Adelaide I knew it was made in house, the lamb rack was done well, but slightly under cooked for my liking, the pizzas from the wood fire oven were one of the best I have had any where Australia.
The staff were engaging, funny, and overall service was great.

Fantastic Italian eatery
Having lived in Upper North Shore of Sydney almost all my life I had never heard of Cavallino, my 16 year old daughter googled and booked for our anniversary dinner. The venue is gorgeous, like walking into a large country side lodge
We had our table in the bar area, very rustic with a huge fire place. Food was yummy, the pizza's coming out of the wood oven were amazing, the beef ribs were so tender, for me the octopus was the best, all in all a great night. Service was friendly, efficient and genuine. The young man looking after us was a delight. If you want one of the best restaurants close to Upper North Shore then Cavallino is a must. For us it was exactly 12 minutes from Pymble, and we live near the station.

From Wahroonga to Italy in Terrey Hills
We have lived over 30 years in Wahroonga, had never been to Cavallino in Terrey Hills, booked our daughters 18th birthday party, the food , service and atmosphere was very enjoyable, may as well have been somewhere in Italy, the bar area we booked was private and young Shannon was the star looking after us. Thank you Cavallino for a great family night, the deck area was provided for music and dancing.

Better than expected
Our first visit to Cavallino, not sure what to expect, the place is very inviting, friendly welcome, the menu is not huge but done well, not fine dining, but rather true to their Southern Italian roots. We ordered cocktails at the bar and enjoyed it in the lounge area, the cocktails were done very well.
The charming pizza chef did entertain us and the wood fire pizzas were exceptional, the calamari was very tasty and tender, arancini was very good and house made also, the seafood pasta was better than most I have had in the north shore, and very friendly staff, a true Italian fare, a beautiful place for extra large also like ours.

Grand Italian restaurant, magnificent facilities, a true European style hunting lodge, with two massive fire places, remaining true to Italian cuisine, and that wood fire oven produced some amazing pizza's... Big thanks to the Pizza Chef who allowed our children to make their pizzas, making it a huge success. GRAZIE

A stunning place in Northern Beaches serving authentic Italian cuisine, beautiful building, multiple areas to hold any function, we loved our family reunion at Cavallino. Food was fresh, tasty and cooked well, service was friendly and efficient

Best Pizzas & Ribs
A large place at Terrey Hills, with good entertaining areas, great bar area with good cocktails, the pizzas were some of the best I have ever had from their wood fire oven, the beef ribs were a huge portion, very tasty, very tender with a fresh salad that was rather unique. A great find for Upper North Shore and Northern Beaches people.

Great wedding venue
We had a most beautiful wedding at Cavallino in Terrey Hills, with 70 guests we booked the main room, service was excellent, the menu was absolutely true to their words delicious, and we did not spend a cent more than our budget.
We had visited over 5 venues, most tried to double our costs. Thank you so much Cavallino for an amazing wedding, and we have been already booked at Cavallino for our first anniversary dinner as their guests. If you are thinking about a great venue for about 100, Cavallino is great wedding venue.

Cavallino in Terrey Hills is like stepping into a rural Italian lodge, a beautiful place for families, great food, best pizza's in Sydney along with a warm and friendly team of staff. Children love the chip pizza.

Grand Italian restaurant
Having lived in Pymble for 30 years, we had never even heard about cavallino, friends of ours from St Ives organized dinner there, we arrived all 6 of us, dropped in the beautiful bar for a few drinks, the cocktails were refreshingly tasty and I noticed the barman was even squeezing fresh limes for the drinks, for starters we had servings of arancini, octopus, calamari and the garlic pizza, and we were not disappointed, in fact they were very good. My seafood pasta lacked a little in flavor, the beef ribs were falling of the bone and pizzas from the wood fire oven were heavenly.
What a great find for us from Pymble, a 15 minute drive to Italy is not bad at all

Cavallino in Terrey Hills is a magnificent Italian restaurant, a beautiful place with lots of areas, a great bar area for cocktails, a huge pizza bar that you can also sit at and order a cold moretti tap beer, or have a more formal dinner in one of the many areas, I love their huge fire places that make the whole place so inviting.

An amazing Italian venue, warm atmosphere
One of most beautiful restaurants in Upper North Shore and Northern Beaches, a huge venue with very rustic European design, timber beams, fire places, a magnificent Bar with a huge fire place. As the Italians call it very Rustica. The menu is simple and very tasty, the seafood was fresh, our snapper fillet was very good, the pizzas had an amazing charred taste coming out of a magnificent wood fire oven. Cavallino is ideal for family events, functions or even a romantic dinner in the bar area for two. An amazing find, we live in Pymble and had no idea it existed.
