What a pleasant surprise. Dropped for in a wine taste stayed for lunch! Both were a treat. Wine matched two course lunch in peaceful surrounds with unobtrusive staff what a recipe for losing a couple of hours. By the way the food was exquisite!

I have been to Tokar Estate on a number of occasions, & each time i am not disappointed. The restaurant has relaxing views over the vineyard as well as the Coldstream district. The food is amazing accompanied by a superb variation of wines, my favourite being the Temperanillo. If you have not visited Tokar Estate, I would highly recommend you drop in to see the hosts Leon, Rita & the staff who will go to every length to take good care of you and make sure you enjoy the experience. I promise you will be wanting to return.
What a gorgeous compliment to such a lush area. For my first trip to the Yarra (being a Hunter Valley winery and restaurant enthusiast), Tokar Estate was everything I could have hoped for. The fish was unbelievable with the 06 Chardonnay. A must for all Sydney-siders (or anyone else for that matter) who head to the Yarra.
It could be said that the owners at Tokar Estate Restaurant are ‘living the dream’ at their Yarra Valley venue, so take a seat, enjoy the vineyard views and immerse yourself in Mediterranean magnificence. Tokar Estate's refined and romantic setting showcases the beauty of the Yarra region, with plenty of natural light and fresh country air. Dine indoors or alfresco overlooking the vineyards and magnificent Yarra Valley. The menu may feature assiette of pork - pan-roasted pork, braised sticky belly, crispy crackle and caramelised apple and port jus, or beef osso buco in a slow cooked tomato and olive sauce with creamy potato mash and preserved lemon gremolata.

Working well together they are producing some exquisit dishes which are great value for money.THE MENUThe menu, which changes seasonally, reflects both the décor of the Restaurant and surrounding region.
