This specialty smoked beef restaurant is a true family business, which began with a dream of carving meat in front of guests in an open kitchen and now boasts a large dining area ideal for every occasion. Everything on the extensive menu is freshly prepared, the meat is all smoked in house and even the pastrami is cured onsite; expect entrées such as smoked chicken lollipops with ranch sauce, or pastrami mac ‘n’ cheese balls and mild habanero relish. Order a main like brisket or beef cheeks by weight, Smokey Moo jus with sides of sweet potato fries and coleslaw, or feed the herd with a family pack of four carved meats, Moo fries, garlic bread, cob salad and jus.

Smokey Moo is a true family business.
We are a specialty American BBQ low and slow smoked beef licensed restaurant located in the external dining precinct of the Gasworks Plaza in Newstead, Brisbane, and we put love into everything we do.
In 2018, we opened our first little dream in East Brisbane that was all about the beef - freshly smoked all night long.
Our vision was and still is to carve our amazing low and slow BBQ smoked meat in front of our customers in an open kitchen.
Our famous pastrami is cured in house for 3 weeks before it is smoked.
All of our specialty beef cuts, brisket, pastrami, ribs and beef cheeks, are premium Wagyu, marble score 8-9 and fullblood Angus, sourced locally from Australian farmers, and are fresh smoked to perfection ‘the Chef's way' – tender, juicy, and falling off the bone.
