Mostly good but some of the food and service dragged the experience down
Went there with booking for birthday dinner. The setting is very stylish and received a warm welcome, seated quickly and our waiter, Christian was very personable. Ordered drinks while looking at menu. Drinks took forever to get to table and considering we were only ones there & was an early booking it was an unacceptable delay. Ordered entree and mains. One of party is vegan and this is reason we chose this restaurant to cater for all needs. Entrees of The Abrohlos Scallops were very good, and the crab was also very good. The vegan entree was okay, lacked seasoning and the Confit Fennel was stringy and about half was edible, the other half too hard to chew. Maines the steak was outstanding as was the duck. The salmon was also very well cooked and enjoyable. The vegan main course again was bland. 2 desserts ordered both very ordinary. service form Christian outstanding however he left and the maitre'd was waiting our table. His behaviour was sort of strange. Spilt water on table and didnt notice, tried to give us menus when we had them in our hands, and seemed to have some difficulty speaking. I hope he was ok. The bill was huge, over $100 per head, and we didn't order wine only a couple of drinks. 2 of the 5 of us weren't drinking alcohol and only had water, no tea/coffee etc. wouldn't recommend. The price in no way justified by the quality of the food.
