About Toshi's Japanese Restaurant

On Bowral Road in Mittagong, Toshi’s Japanese Restaurant has been sharing the flavours and traditions of Japan with the Southern Highlands for more than 35 years. Built on decades of experience, the menu draws inspiration from the rich heritage of Japanese gastronomy while embracing the diverse produce and culinary influences found across Australia. The dining experience is guided by the Japanese proverb Kuru mono kaeru ga gotoshi — to relax as if returning home. Guests are welcomed with warm hospitality and encouraged to enjoy the tradition of communal dining, where dishes are shared and savoured together. Thoughtfully crafted plates, evolving flavours and a welcoming atmosphere create a memorable Japanese dining destination in the heart of Mittagong.

Shocking
I had prepared a review but it seems only a few words were recorded and incomplete.
We had been to Toshi's previously and when planning 2 weeks of touring we booked our last night in Bowral so that we could dine at Toshi's. Forget the prices with $9 corkage>The Soft Shell Crab was overcooked if not reheated, the Tempura Prawns lovely but small compared to our local Japanese Restaurant, and the Wagyi Steak was tough (We would change our butcher if he supplied it.) Sorry but we were looking forward to Toshi's and had booked 3 weeks earlier. $124 for 2 with the cheapest bottle of wine is not value.
