Cocktail of the Week from Gino’s Kitchen & Cocktails Mixologist Jai Hullait

Technically, it’s not drinking alone if the bartender is there!

You know the drill…it’s Friday afternoon and time to relax after a long and stressful work week.

What better way to chill out than with a cocktail at your favourite bar or restaurant. Alternatively, you could take the party home and concoct the perfect drink to usher in the weekend.

Welcome to our Cocktail of the Week series, where each Friday we will highlight a cheeky creation to tantalise tastebuds and set the tone for good times.

Gino’s Kitchen & Cocktails on Victoria Street is the ultimate Darlinghurst restaurant for authenticity, blending Southern Italian cuisine with creative drinks and friendly service. Ideal for a romantic night, celebratory dinner with friends or solo dining experience, relax alfresco at white tables set with red and white checked tablecloths; or head indoors where moody lighting, rustic wood and a stacked stone bar await with the promise of memorable meals to come.

Mixologist Jai Hullait recommends trying the Spice Me Up cocktail to get the party started, made with spiced rum, Cointreau, coconut syrup, lemon juice and muddled hot chilli, as the perfect drink to reinvigorate the senses.

"Groove to a propulsive tune and spice it up a bit, hence the cocktail’s name,” he says.
