About Yambu
Be transported to the streets of South America without leaving Hobart, at Yambu on Elizabeth Street. This charismatic restaurant welcomes guests with bright yellow, purple and aqua painted walls, polished wooden floors and furniture, while overhead softly glowing pendent globes throw off a moody vibe. Relax on comfy leather couches near the piano and sip an authentic mojito cocktail, while contemplating a menu overflowing with authentic South America delights such as bocadito Cubano slow cooked pork shoulder with provolone and cheddar cheese, pickled zucchini, chipotle and aioli. Brunch goers are also catered for with tempters like the breakfast arepa, with Cuban black beans, fried egg, avocado, chilli salsa, coriander and toasted sunflower seeds; or huevos rancheros and sourdough toast.

Beautiful vibrant flavoursome food!
Authentically Latin American, I spent every day that it was open of my short trip to Hobart eating my way through the menu! The coffees are of a great standard and the South American wine collection is a must-try! Dietary restrictions are considered and catered for and the evening menu is great for sharing! The mojitos taste like real mojitos, the pisco sours like real pisco sours! Latin American music is always playing and the colours and the feel is always warm and cosy and home-like. I miss my second home!
