About VegOut on George
From humble beginnings in a food van, VegOut on George now brings seriously good plant-based fare to Launceston’s CBD. This George Street cafe exudes a calming vibe of white stools at bench seating, a vibrant statement wall mural and potted greenery, setting the scene for lingering over a Wonder Woman smoothie with family and friends. Not everything is as it seems at VegOut – the cheeze sauce is made from carrots and potatoes, while the chikun is housemade from flour and spices – small-batch cooking ensures everything is fresh and delicious. From an all-day menu, try The Bounty veggie fritters, avocado, tomato, beetroot hummus, mushrooms, dukkah and spinach; while burger lovers wrap their hands around the George, with house patty, Miss Mack mayo, lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles.

Great Variety of Food and Drinks and tastes amazing!
The best vegan food I had in Tasmania!
I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Launceston and looking for vegan, vegetarian or just great food to eat! Very homely atmosphere, great coffee, affordable food, and a great variety of sweets. The staff was friendly and I'll definitely be back to try one of their cakes!
VegOut is a tasty treat in the heart of Launceston. If you are vegan, vegetarian or just want a solid meal, they have two stores in the CBD.
I've been to VegOut on George many times. Best food and a great range made by talented cooks. Award winning Breakfast Focaccia was so tasty!
