About The Tandoori Place Surfers Paradise

Follow the tantalising aromas of Indian cuisine to The Tandoori Place Surfers Paradise on Laycock Street. Nestled in the Aegean Building, owner Surjit Dhillon attributes the restaurant’s popularity to abiding by their motto of offering the finest of Indian foods and curries on the Gold Coast. The decor is traditionally Indian with carvings and pictures adding to the ambience; the Subcontinent looms large with its colour evident from the menu through to tablemats. Specialising in North Indian fare, expect starters like garlic prawns, or crispy deep-fried onion bhaji; before exotic curries such as kangaroo korma in a mild aromatic cream sauce, or Chef’s special goat curry, with potatoes and spices, best enjoyed with basmati rice and naan. Finish with mango pista kulfi and gulab jamun.
