Eggs were pretty gooey inside, needed a bit longer and fritters were soggy, just heated up by the looks. Staff and coffee were good though.
Very good service
There was an epiphany in Essendon this morning in the shape of Pear Crumble French Toast. Meeting a dear friend for brunch I naturally decided that I needed to experience what had played on my mind since the first day I walked into St Martha’s - the Pear Crumble French Toast. I had seen this on the menu on day one but was deviated by the amazing Corn Fritters that quite literally took my breath away. I wasn't going to be swayed today; I knew what I wanted the moment I walked in (aside from a great coffee). Table organised thanks to amazing staff (nothing is too much trouble here) and coffees ordered along with our meals. On arrival my Pear Crumble French Toast smelled divine and looked even better. First bite in - decadence! We all have benchmarks secretly that we judge restaurants on be it "Is it as good as the Parma I had at ***, Does the Lasagne match up to ***” I too have bench marks and this blew all expectations out of the water. Absolutely the best French toast I've ever had. Yes, big claim I know but not said light-heartedly. The meal was plated in a delectable way with sweet taste bursting in your mouth, but not leaving you heavier than when you arrived. The brioche had a lovely soft texture with the egg mixture well soaked throughout. It was lovely and fluffy which went well with the beautiful pear resplendent on top. The sweet and crunchy textures of this dish worked wonders. To top this off, the chocolate sauce on the side just adds that extra naughtiness that is sometimes required during a bleak and rainy morning. All in all, this entire dish delivered the goods and certainly achieved the yummy factor. I washed this down to close with a delightful pot of English Breakfast Tea that left me feeling like I'd just had a "hug in a mug". St Martha’s - you have most certainly redeemed yourself with no further penance required. I on the other hand may have left uttering words similar to "that was effing amazing". I may have a couple of Hail Marys to s
The best smashed avocado I've had to date! And I've had a fair few. My other half had the Rueben sandwich and he also said it was awesome. Great local find!
Yummy juices and the best Reuben sandwich I have had for a long time. Friendly service. We will be back.

Love the food. It's mostly organic and lots of vegan/vegetarian options are available. Also they have really good coffee and an amazing water kefir drink. Can't recommend this place enough!
I can recommend the breakfast menu, they will adapt to your selection. With or without bread. The probiotic, fresh juice and coffee are really good.
