Brought to you by veteran restaurateur Sarita Rahal (ex-Indian Palace Restaurant in Balmain and Brighton), Spice Av’s bare white walls infused with splashes of bright colours create a contemporary environment, reflective of the new style of Indian cuisine served by Chef Amish Gauthan. Sure, traditional favourites such as the lamb rogan josh and vegetarian samosas with minted yoghurt are done well but diners are encouraged to try modern dishes such as the cumin crusted scallops with garlic tiger prawns or the fried barramundi served with lemon rice with a date and tamarind dip. For dessert, go traditional with Spice Av's gulab jamun or new school with strawberry-infused kulfi.
