This new restaurant on the block boasts a fun and groovy green room, named as a nod to surfers’ love of barreling waves, where ceramic birds fly across walls, leadlight shades shine overhead and tropical plants poke their leaves through louvred windows. Pull up a seat at Shady’s Shack alfresco bar area and sip a Shark Punch cocktail of tequila, basil and vanilla, while perusing a menu with share plates like maple-glazed pork belly sliders, pineapple, daikon and sriracha.
