Unbelievably good
We had dinner here early Feb 2020 for our birthdays and opted for the chef's suggestion degustation menu. 5 courses on offer, but a few extra meals thrown in between courses, meaning we were completely full after we had finished. The pre dinner cocktails in the garden were fantastic. The staff were fully accommodating to our dietary requirements and just lovely in general.
Flavour wise, texture wise and visually appealing, the food excelled at every course.
Definitely a 'must experience' bucket list item, as you will be back again, like we will.

Really interesting and exciting food, with clever combinations of flavours and textures, combined with friendly and intelligent service makes this a very nice experience. The wine list is impressive, albeit without many bargains, Highly recommended.

We have been twice this year. The first time back in April for my wife's birthday and it was good. And then a few weeks ago and it was brilliant. This place just keeps on getting better and better and they now also have an outdoor bar so we arrived early and had a cocktail there first before going in. The food is spectacular and really something different to the boring old food that most places serve in Canberra. Price is not too bad considering what you're getting. I guess once you start paying over $50 per head you expect to be full, but we like to not have that full feeling if the food is great. Next time we go we're going to try the chef's tasting menu and give ourselves a hit of everything on the menu. In fact we cannot wait to go back. This restaurant has really smartened up over the past year and should be pushing for the best in Canberra pretty soon. In my top 2 of restaurants in Canberra.

Loved the food at Sage, but the prices are very high given the size of the offerings - we are not big eaters and we were surprised that we needed to take all 4 courses for a satisfactory lunch. At $80 a head this is pretty pricey - on the contra, it is great to have such an imaginative restaurant menu to turn to in the otherwise 'cookie cutter' dross of most Canberra restaurants.
