I went to Roly's for lunch on 18/7/2013, having had wonderful lunches there three times before. I intended ordering the delicious Red Emperor again. but decided to try vegetarian after being told that all the fish came from Vietnam. The vegetarian platter was bland and "caught" on the bottom of the frittata-like slice - except for the very tasty preserved lemon rice and the sauce. The small $13 creme brulee was also a disapointment, being a bit like the coles supermarket version. The $20 fish and chips was excellent - perfectly cooked with very tasty chips. The sticky date pudding was good, but needed more sauce. I hope Roly's returns to its previously consistently Gold Plate standards.
Great food, great place, great value. I went there 10years ago and been going all the time love it
Simply put perfect
Simply AWESOME! We went there for breakfast recently and were impressed. Not only was the building really unique, the food was fabulous. In particular my eggs benedict had REAL (not the packet stuff you get at many other places) hollandaise sauce.... Oh my god, you just have to try it!
