Best Known For
Valenciana Paella: the original paella with rabbit, chicken, broad beans and green beans.
Brisbane foodies say hola to Spanish fare at Paella Y Pa’ Mi bistro and wine bar on Leicester Street in Coorparoo. Expect a Mediterranean feel to this dining destination with pastel blues and earthy hues setting the scene for lingering over a drink with friends; while perusing a menu showcasing Spain’s national dish of paella. The brainchild of Manuela Volpe and Kevin Fredes – who served his apprenticeship under Miguel Maestre – this venue is a family affair with the mixed signature paella dish named after the couple’s daughter Marysol. Start your feast with cured and fried pork belly with spiced pear, or salmon gravlax, whipped queso fresco, squid ink and salmon caviar; before delving into one of the four paellas on offer such as fresh seafood, finish with churros and chocolate sauce.
